An evening for aspiring and established writers
Are you a current or aspiring author, curious about innovative and independent publishing? Then join us for two back-to-back sessions.
ROUND ONE: TAKING CONTROL – 5.15-6.15pm
New Zealand journalist, columnist, author, editor and independent publisher Steve Braunias will chair this session, featuring Lily Woodhouse (the nom-de-plume of acclaimed NZ author Stephanie Johnson), Pic Picot (self-publishing his upcoming memoir), James Russell (Dragon Brothers Books) and Ray Caird (Blood of the Flax).
INTERMISSION – 6.15-6.45pm
Mingle with authors, editors, designers and browse new titles.
ROUND TWO: GETTING IT OUT THERE – 6.45-7.30pm
Kerry Sunderland will get down to the nuts and bolts of self-publishing with H.L. Kennedy (AKA Holly Dunn), author of Self-Publishing in New Zealand; editor and publisher Renee Lang (Renaissance Publishing) and marketing specialist Renée Hollis (Exisle Publishing).
On the night, book in for a free one-on-one 15-minute consultation with CopyPress on Friday 25 October (these will be held at Founders Heritage Park, so you can schedule around the Pukapuka Talks sessions you’d like to attend).
